We've rebranded: read the story

Fellows' network

Join a network of leaders working for a fair, sustainable and resilient world.

As a JST Fellow, you become part of something that extends well beyond a programme. You join a long-term community of change-makers, sense-makers and trust-builders — leaders who are working, often in difficult conditions, to advance equitable and sustainable societies across Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

There are things that are not affected by time and geography. And the JST network is one of those things. It just gives you support and acceptance And actually it is more than learning, it's a lifetime commitment, let's say, because it defines the way you will surf through this chaos of today.

Olga Reka, JST Fellow, Ukraine

At JST, we are a trusted convenor, connector and long-term leadership partner. We create the conditions in which leaders like you can grow, collaborate and contribute — and we stay with you for the long term. Our approach is built on the understanding that lasting change depends not only on individual skills, but on trusted relationships, reflective practice and sustained collaboration across sectors and borders.

Develop your leadership in community with others

JST's
leadership programmes are designed to help you grow — as a leader, as a collaborator and as a person. Combining online learning with UK-based residential experiences, they create space to build the confidence, self-awareness and practical skills to lead effectively in complex and often challenging environments. The learning is rigorous, but it happens in community: with peers who share your commitment to social change, and who are navigating many of the same challenges.

Build relationships that last — and that matter

The JST network is one of the most distinctive things about being a Fellow. It connects you with over 600 leaders working across 12 countries — people in your field and beyond it, who understand the context you work in and can offer support, challenge and solidarity. The network is active and long-term: it continues to generate opportunities for peer exchange, joint initiatives and collective problem-solving long after any programme ends.

Dialogue, ideas exchange and thought leadership

We create trusted spaces for exchanging ideas and constructive dialogue on the challenges that matter most — to you, to your societies and to the region. These include facilitated conversations across sectors and geographies, engagement with UK policymakers and institutions, and opportunities to develop and amplify your own ideas and perspectives. The aim is not just to broaden horizons, but to generate insights that inform action.

What you can expect to gain

Fellows tell us that JST changes not just what they know and can do, but how they lead and how they see themselves. The impact is developmental, relational and long-term.

        Equity, diversion and inclusion

Climate action,  sustainability and energy transitions

        Economic resilience,  connectivity and innovation

        Our Ideas Exchange Forum

JST has a 30-year history of facilitating discussions and fostering collaborations with people who sometimes have very different backgrounds and points of view. Through our ‘ideas labs’ we bring together our change-makers, sense-makers and trust-builders to generate intersectional, multi-generational and cross-regional insights. And we foster connections to move from reflection to action.

Our Fellows are united by their commitment to values-led leadership.

They know that lasting progress comes not from going it alone but from fostering trust, dialogue, and partnerships that make space for diverse voices to be heard and valued.

        Our Fellows are:

Change-Makers willing to sit with the discomfort and complexity that come with leadership and social change. They combine intellectual curiosity with emotional intelligence, moving beyond advocacy towards constructive action, collaboration and values-driven leadership.

Sense-Makers comfortable working with complexity, uncertainty and difference. They generate insights and understanding together, helping shape leadership, dialogue and decision-making that is grounded in reflection, diverse perspectives and mutual learning.

Trust-Builders equipped with the skills to engage constructively across difference, disagreement and uncertainty. They approach polarising issues with openness, empathy and respect, and work collaboratively towards more peaceful, inclusive and sustainable futures.
