Work with us
Join a team committed to building a fairer, more connected world.
At JST, we believe that lasting change is built through trusted relationships, constructive dialogue and values-driven leadership. The same principles that guide our Fellows guide how we work as an organisation – with curiosity, openness and a deep commitment to the communities we serve.
We are a small, dedicated team with a thirty-year history of nurturing collaborative leaders across Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia. If you share our values and want to contribute your skills to work that matters, we would love to hear from you when we are next recruiting.
Join our board of trustees
JST is seeking experienced professionals to join our Board of Trustees – people who bring diverse backgrounds, perspectives and expertise, and who are committed to the values of equity, openness and constructive leadership that sit at the heart of our work.
Our Board plays a vital role in shaping JST's strategic direction, ensuring our work is impactful and our resources are well managed. We are currently looking to strengthen our capacity in resource-raising, HR and media/PR, and to increase representation across sectors, backgrounds, ethnic groups, ages and genders.
As a Trustee, you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute your professional expertise to a cause that matters now more than ever
- Help steer a dynamic organisation with a distinctive thirty-year legacy
- Work alongside a passionate, diverse group of individuals united by a commitment to social change

Internships
JST offers regular internships of three to six months to motivated individuals with a genuine interest in our work and the regions we operate in. Our internships offer hands-on experience of working in a small, fast-paced team within the NGO sector – and a chance to contribute to work that is effecting positive social change.
We look for interns who are organised, curious and committed – people who bring initiative and care about the values JST stands for. Depending on when you join us and your own interests and skills, you might be involved in:
- Drafting reports on our events and programmes
- Writing about developments across the JST network and Fellows' work
- Supporting the logistics of in-person gatherings and residential programmes
- Researching potential partners, collaborators and experts relevant to our thematic areas
- Contributing to the design and delivery of online and in-person programme elements
