Support our work

Partnership that makes lasting change possible

JST's work – nurturing collaborative leaders, building trusted networks and fostering constructive dialogue across borders – is made possible through the generous support of partners who share our belief that resilient societies are built on trust, openness and meaningful connection.

In an era of fracture, sustained and values-based engagement matters more than ever. We are grateful to the partners whose commitment makes this work – and the relationships it builds – possible.

Maija Paasiaro, JST executive director

Change takes root in trusted relationships.

In an era of fracture, polarisation and democratic uncertainty, JST has spent thirty years building something the moment demands – a fellowship of collaborative leaders equipped to work across divides, hold difficult conversations and help shape more just, peaceful and inclusive societies. We are looking for trusted partners who want to help drive the work that is needed to meet this new era.

The context

The world has changed. This work has never mattered more.

A group of people sat around a large table in a grand room with a painting on the wallAcross Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia, societies are navigating growing fragmentation, democratic backsliding and deepening inequality. Authoritarian and populist forces are exploiting division and insecurity – shrinking space for open dialogue and civic action.

Many change-makers are experiencing isolation, burnout and a loss of hope in their ability to influence positive change.

The antidote is relational – built through trust, listening and meaningful connection across difference.

The challenges facing our societies – from democratic resilience to climate and social justice – cannot be addressed in isolation. They require leaders who can work across divides, engage constructively with complexity and build relationships strong enough to sustain cooperation in difficult times.
